Program Level Requirements
In order to meet the MBA CPD registration standard, medical practitioners must engage in at least one activity relevant to each of the four program-level requirements (CAPE), every CPD cycle.
- Cultural safety practice
- Addressing health inequities
- Professionalism
- Ethical practice
These are part of, and not in addition to, your 50 hours of CDP to be
completed every year.
All program-level requirements are
aligned to the Good Medical Practice: a code of conduct for doctors in Australia. (the code). The code describes what is expected of doctors
registered to practise medicine in Australia. It sets out the principles
that characterise good medical practice and makes explicit the standards
of ethical and professional conduct expected of doctors by their
professional peers and the community.

Cultural safety and health equity should be embedded and
considered in relation to all CPD activities, including goal setting. When
documenting your activities, consider whether the activity supports your
development of culturally safe practices and health equality.
