Upcoming Exam Performance Workshop - November 2026

 

The College is holding a two-day Examination Performance Workshop aimed at Trainees who have had at least two or more unsuccessful attempts at the First Part, Second Part or Second Part Paediatrics Examinations. 

The program aims to build capability and confidence and will cover reframing failure and an approach to exam preparation and performance. The course faculty has in-depth knowledge of the exam processes, and experience in health professions education, and includes a performance coach, and current and past Chairs and members of the First Part and Second Part Exams Committees.

The course content includes an online module for pre-course preparation and mock exam questions to attempt prior to the workshop.

The workshop will be held over two full days, 9 and 10 November 2026, at the CICM Office in Melbourne. Registration for the two days, including catering, is complimentary. Please note, participants are expected to self-fund travel, accommodation and any additional expenses. 

Places are limited to optimise the learning experience for participants attending, and will be offered to 12 First Part candidates and 12 Second Part General/Paediatric candidates; priority will be given to candidates with a higher number of exam attempts.  

Registrations for the November Examinations Workshop will open on 1 September 2026.
