- Facilitating the exchange of ideas, knowledge and practice through a supported and formal channel
- Providing advice and advocacy on governance, strategy, implementation, education, and training in digital innovation
- Developing of resources and opportunities for engagement and sharing of information via the SIG.
The adoption of novel digital health tools, including those incorporating Artificial Intelligence, is on the rise across health services. While these technologies promise to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency, they also bring significant risks such as privacy breaches, algorithmic bias, lack of clinical accountability, and a potential loss of human-centred care. This is why the College has found a need to develop a Digital Innovation SIG.
