Admission to Fellowship FAQs
Towards the end of your Transition Year you should check your dashboard to ensure all training requirements are met in order to be eligible for admission. If you are completing the pre-2014 curriculum, you should contact the College well before you wish to be admitted to determine any outstanding requirements that may delay the admission process.
The College staff determine your eligibility and forward the required documentation to the Fellowship Admission Committee. This is made of up the current College President, Censor and chair of the Assessments Committee.
All admissions are done in batches and the Committee discusses Fellowship eligibility via email.
Upon receipt of all necessary documentation and payment of fees, you need to allow up to six weeks before you’re notified of the outcome.
No. We strongly advise that all applications to Fellowship are not left to the last minute as we are unable to expedite the process for individual circumstances.
When your admission has been approved, a letter from the President will be provided via email and post. It is your responsibility to organise specialist recognition with any relevant bodies outside of the College.
When your admission is approved, your official diploma is hand-signed by members of the College Board at a meeting following your admission (Board meets three times per year). The diploma may take several weeks to arrive.
We have found that the admission letter from the President is adequate, however it depends on the requirements of the individual employer. We advise that you check ahead of time.
New Fellows are eligible to attend the Graduation Ceremony at one of the two ASMs following their admission to Fellowship. Kayla Hargood will contact eligible New Fellows once registrations for graduation open at the beginning of each year.
We have a strict deadline for registering to graduate. If you are admitted to Fellowship after the deadline you will still be eligible to graduate at one of the next two ASMs.
