The Presidents of ANZCA, ACEM, CICM, ANZICS, ACCCN, ASA and NZSA have formed a collaborative that we have named Covid-19 Critical Care Coordination Collaborative (Five C’s). The purpose of this group is to afford high-level collaboration to deal with issues related to the management of critically ill Covid-19 patients.

The College recognises that the COVID-19 pandemic will significantly disrupt training, and everyone involved at the College will try to mitigate this as much as possible.
The current situation is unprecedented, and it is difficult for us to provide categoric solutions to potential problems given the rapidly changing and uncertain environment. The College will endeavour to be as flexible as possible in both interpreting and applying Training requirements so that the progress of Trainees is minimally impeded. Necessarily this flexibility will be considered in the context of the high standards expected by the College of both Trainees and Fellows practising intensive care medicine...
