Hello and greetings from Djaara djanduk (Dja Dja Wurrung country, Bendigo),
The Victorian State Committee (VSC) continues with its newsletter to inform you about Victorian local issues, activities and topics of interest and engagement. Please read on for information about current and future Victorian CICM activities.
Please get in touch with one of our Committee members to discuss a Victorian or CICM issue affecting you. We are also looking for Fellows and Trainees to volunteer to become further involved in College work, in small or larger capacities, both for ‘first-time’ and ‘further’ service. Please let us know how you want to help out in your capacity.
Thanks to those Victorian College members newly commencing or continuing Hospital Accreditation work, Online and face-to-face Education, Supervision and Examination responsibilities, Trainee and New Fellows’ events, Board work, and pandemic response, well-being and workforce advocacy. For those completing your involvement – your work has been greatly appreciated during unusual times.
I congratulate A/Prof Steve McGloughlin and Dr Cara Moore (New Fellows Representative) on their election to the CICM Board and welcome their future contribution to the Victorian State Committee in these roles. A/Prof Neil Orford was re-elected.
Thanks for all of your commitment to high quality patient care as we continue to weather the personal, professional and health system pressures during a pandemic winter. Safe travels to all who are going to Wellington for the fellowship of the ASM.
