Recently, the College completed an extensive review process for the training document T-19 Candidates Suffering from Illness, Accident or Disability to remove barriers to examination participation by providing appropriate, supportive environments and resources.
The revision shifts T-19 to encompass more of a social model of health and disability, allowing Trainees to contribute to a healthcare system that is more inclusive, equitable and promotes a medical workforce that mirrors the population they serve. T-19 has been renamed to T-19 Special Circumstances and Reasonable Adjustments Policy for Examinations and can be accessed via our website here.
Any Trainee and Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMGs) of the College undertaking a College Examination can apply for special consideration or a reasonable adjustment. To assess whether you are eligible, please refer to Section 4 of the Policy.
All applications must be submitted to the Examinations Department. Your application must include the appropriate application form and relevant supporting documentation.
Please note that reasonable adjustment applications at the latest, should be submitted by the closure of the relevant examination. For anyone who wishes to apply for the upcoming examinations in March 2024, the closure dates are as follows:
Full details of the application timeframe and process can be found in Section 6 of the Policy
