Member's Portal and CPD Diary Launch
28 June, 2017
Exciting news! We have rolled out some great new enhancements to the portal and CPD Online Diary!
The first thing you will notice when you log in to the portal is the “look”; we have updated the portal to reflect the style of the website. We have amended the tabs to condense the information so it is easier for you to update your details and navigate around the portal.
For Fellows, the CPD Diary is hopefully where you will see the most changes. We have been collecting feedback regarding the CPD Online Diary since its introduction in 2012. Using this feedback and working with our developer, we established the top 5 items that people wanted to see improved and implemented the following:
The portal and online diary are now mobile friendly, they will respond to fit on a range of mobile devices; phones and tablets, this will make it easier for you to add your activities on the run.
RECURRING ACTIVITIES - CLONING
Many of the activities entered in the diary are recurring meetings, such as monthly M&M meetings. The “Cloning” function allows you to copy or clone activities and simply change the date to create a new entry.
MULTIPLE DAY EVENTS
For events that go over several days (such as conferences) or months/years (such as masters or PhDs), you can now add this as one activity with a start and end date.
An improved and more detailed search function has been developed, if you have completed an activity simply start typing the name in the search function and if it’s an approved activity and it will appear.
ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
Are you running a course that you would like CPD points for? We now have an online form that you can complete to get CPD registration.
There have been a range of improvements made to the operational functionality, these may not be obvious to you, the front end user, however they will greatly assist the staff here in the office to process and approve your requests more efficiently.
We have spent a considerable amount of time testing these new systems, however like all projects of this nature it is impossible to test every piece of data, so if you find something that doesn’t look quite right or notice a discrepancy, please let us know.
We would love your feedback on these improvements and we hope that these new features will assist you with your CPD.
